Mayan Beach Garden Hotel B&B and Placer were hit very hard by Hurricane dean. It was the third worst storm to ever hit land - category 5, we were lucky to have anything left. As bad as the picture looks below, it didn't take long to demolish the mess below and get started.

Digging out 2-3 feet of sand everywhere

New huge cisterns under the new decks that will store more rain water. Continuous rebar insures the cistern will protect the cabanas in the future.

Mayan Inspired design - but at this point we can't wait for the workers to be gone

Restoration is far better than destruction - We know that what rises is better than ever - our friends Beau and Kitty say "this is your opportunity to remodel and create the place it should have been in the first place."

This is what we look like now! The small Hotel and B&B reopened Dec. 21st!
