. If you are originating from the Cancun airport, take the bus from the airport to Playa Del Carmen and transfer to Mahahual from there. There is an 8:30 bus leaving Playa del Carmen that gets in around 1:00. Once in Mahahual there is no buses to Placer. Taxis are plentiful - the rate is $200 pesos one way to Mayan Beach Garden (in Placer). IMPORTANT NOTICE : the following schedule may be temporarily suspended during low season, depending on traffic. Afternoon ADO busses from Playa del Carmen and Cancun are currently arriving into Mahahual and leaving at 5:30 in the evening . It is still possible to take Mayab busses to Limones and then transfer via Taxi to Mahahual. Mayab bus travel frequently North and South on 307. Last updated Nov.1st 2011.
